The Utilization of Tabs

Everyone has different creative methods and habits. What works for some may not work for others. With that in mind, if you first write on paper… the first draft, brainstorming, or any other beginning process is done on paper… then this process is for you.

When first coming up with a cohesive story, the mind skips and jumps around, but that is an essential part of creative expression. If that part is taken away or modified then the job becomes daunting and less joyful.

Enter Tabs. Little color stickers that help organization. Was that page a rant about chapter 3? It gets a light blue tab and chapter 3 is assigned light blue. It helps to organize thoughts and make your story coherent. It's the little things that add up to make a big difference. By not wasting time, flipping through pages to see about your previous thoughts, can save a lot of time and streamline the process.
